At 7 years old, Mayci Baker jotted scribbly words onto a sticky note and placed it in her kitchen—where she knew her mama spent hours preparing specially-made, allergy-friendly food. “Work hard for me today,”  the note read. “Love, Mayci.”

Caressa Baker’s days are marked with the quiet strength of sacrifice. Along with being a pastor’s wife, a mom of four girls, and a truly creative baker, Caressa has a full-time calling: helping Mayci thrive.

“You have to be brave enough to stand, even if you’re standing by yourself.”  —Caressa Baker

Brian and Caressa’s third daughter deals with an autoimmune disorder and subsequent absence seizures that, at their peak, reached nearly 100 episodes per day. But Caressa refused to give up, committing to do what she could do and trust God with the rest.

Today, Caressa is sharing a tender piece of her story with Amy Groeschel, Jenn Jewell, and YOU. Don’t miss this beautiful conversation at The Messy Table.
